Question

How to set a default sheet, dashboard or story to be the first opened when opening a workbook in Tableau.

Environment

Tableau Desktop

Answer

By default, when using Tableau Desktop, the tab last saved will open when the workbook is opened.

When working with stories, in order to open the first story point of each and all story tabs, please have all first story points selected in the story tabs when saving the workbook. See the attached workbook (10.5) and navigate through the different tabs for a demonstration.
