Question

How to display 0 decimal places for mark labels.

Answer

Option 1: Format a single instance of a field

This option will change the formatting for a field only in one worksheet.
  1. On the Marks card, right-click the field on Label and select Format...
    Note: You must click on the green field, not on the box named Label
  2. In the left-hand Format pane, under Default, in the Numbers dropdown, Select Number (Custom).
  3. Change the number of decimals to 0.
 

Option 2: Change the default format of a field

This option will change the default formatting that will show every time a field is brought into the view.
  1. In the left-hand data pane, right-click the field and select Default Properties > Number Format...
  2. In the Default Number Format dialog, Select Number (Custom).
  3. Change the number of decimals to 0.



Option 3: Change the default format of all field for one worksheet

This option will change the default formatting that will show every time any field is brought into a particular view.
  1. Navigate to Analysis > Table Layout > Advanced...
  2. In the Table Options dialog, in the Default number format section, select Manual.
  3. For Decimal places, type in 0.
 

Option 4: On Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud

  1. On the Marks card, right-click the field on Label and select Format...
  2. In the pop-up menu, select Number.
  3. Change the number of decimals to 0.
