"Force the y-intercept to zero" in Trend line option is grayed out when using continuous dimensions on Tableau Desktop 2020.2 and older.

On Tableau Desktop 2020.3 and later, this option is available but does not work as expected.

  • Tableau Desktop 2020.2 and later

Possible workaround:
  1. Change the continuous dimensions to continuous measures.
  2. Set "Force the Y-intercept to Zero"  in the Trend Line Options window.
  3. Change the continuous measures back to continuous dimensions.
