AnswerTableau Bridge can be used to refresh cross-database joined data sources. The database connections defined in the workbook or data source determine how you can publish and keep the data fresh on Tableau Online. As long as the individual data connections are of a type that Tableau Bridge can refresh, then the cross-database joined data source can be refreshed by Tableau Bridge as well.
See Use Tableau Bridge to Expand Data Freshness Options for a description of the types of data sources that can be refreshed by Tableau Bridge.
Additional InformationCredentials for each connection need to be entered separately into Tableau Bridge in order for the refresh to succeed. See Step 3 "Embed database credentials into the connection information" in Tableau Help: Publishers: Use Tableau Bridge to Keep Tableau Online Data Fresh.
