New Workbook Option Greyed Out for Server Administrator Account

Issue

After upgrading Tableau Server, users are not able to use a published datasource to create new workbook even for the Tableau Server Administrator account. The option is greyed out.

Resolution

In the Tableau Server Settings option, under the General tab, enable the setting for the "Workbooks. Let users edit workbooks in their browser." option in the Web Authoring section.

Cause

The Web Authoring setting, "Workbooks. Let users edit workbooks in their browser.", was unchecked. Having this option unchecked leads to the issue where new the new workbook option was disabled even for the Server Administrator.
