Unable to Synchronize Axis When Using Measure Value As an Axis

Issue

When creating a dual axis chart using measure values, the Synchronize Axis option might be unavailable.

Environment

Tableau Desktop

Resolution

In Data Pane, right click on the measure name that is used for dual axis and select Change Data Type > Number (Decimal).

Cause

Measure values are interpreted as a float data type, regardless of the data types of the underlying fields. Float and integer data types cannot be synchronized.
