Issue
When trying to update the location of an Excel data source by using the Edit Connection command, the following error may occur:
Unable to complete action
Internal Error - An unexpected error occurred and the operation could not be completed.

Resolution
Use the procedure in Replace Data Sources instead to update the data source.Cause
The original data source uses the Legacy Excel connection. Starting in Tableau 2019.1, new Legacy Excel connections can no longer be created.Thank you for providing your feedback on the effectiveness of the article.
