Answer
The following instructions can be reviewed in the attached workbook.- Add the desired dimensions to the Rows shelf.
- Go to Analysis > Create Calculated Field. Name the new calculated field "Index" and in the Formula field, enter
Index()
. - Place Index on the Rows shelf.
- Right-click on Index in the Rows shelf and select Discrete.
- Move Index to the left most position on the Rows shelf.
- Right-click on Index in the Rows shelf and select Edit Table Calculation... and edit the table calculation as showed below it is not already ordered correclty:
- Under Compute using, select Specific Dimension.
- Each dimension's order must be ticked and ordred from top to bottom like in the Rows from left to right. For example:
- In the view, next to Index the dimensions follow as: Customer Segment, Region and Category from left to right.
- In the table calculation, the dimensions should be ordered as: Customer Segment, Region and Category from top to bottom.
- In "At the level", select Deepest.
- For "Restart every", choose None.
- Close the Table Calculation window.
- Move Index to the left most position on the Rows shelf.
- The view should now be partitioned by Index and an export of the crosstab to Excel will display each dimension for each row.
