Work with your IT/Networking team to customize the Domain Name System (DNS) entry. You can configure the DNS alias as long as the connection is not using a proxy.Tableau Server should work with a DNS alias and SSL enabled, without modification to the Tableau Server configuration. Configure the DNS alias first without SSL. If the alias works as expected, enable SSL by using either the CNAME as the DNS alias or a SAN.
