Hiding Grand Totals for only Some of the Columns in Tableau Desktop

Question

How to show or hide only certain Measures Grand Totals in a view containing Measure Names on Rows or Columns. For example in the following screenshot, how to hide the Grand Total of the measure names: Profit Ratio

Answer

In the Measure Values card of Tableau Desktop, right-click the measure of the Grand Total you wish to hide and select Total using (Automatic) > Hide.

To reproduce this resolution, see the steps below: 
  1. From Tableau Desktop, connect to the Superstore sample data source
  2. In a new Sheet, drag Segments to Rows, and Measure Names to Column
  3. Drag Measure Values to Text on the Marks Card
  4. Then select the Analysis top navigation menu > Totals > Show Columns Grand Totals
  5. To remove the Grand Total of Profit Ratio, right click on the Aggregated mark of this measure on the Measure Card (AGG(Profit Ratio)) and select Total using (Automatic) > Hide.
