After being prompted for and entering your database credentials to access a view using the Tableau iPad app, you may encounter the following error message:
“Tableau Server encountered an internal error: Requestor ID [x].”
Typically, this error occurs when Tableau Server is configured to authenticate Active Directory (AD) users automatically, but the data source of the view you are trying to access requires additional authentication. To resolve this issue try one of the following tasks:
Alternate Search Terms:ipad, app, apple, internal error, requestor id, tableau server encountered an internal error: requestor id
Access the view from mobile Safari. Access the view using the IP address of the view in mobile Safari.
Embed credentials in the workbook. If you are the author of the workbook, embed credentials in the workbook, and republish it to Tableau Server. Refer to the Embedding Passwords and Authentication topic in the Tableau Desktop Help for more information.
Turn off automatic sign in on Tableau Server. If you are a Tableau Server administrator, open the Tableau Server Configuration dialog box, and on the General tab, remove the selection from the Enable Automatic Logon check box. Removing this selection will prompt you to enter your credentials to successfully access the view. Refer to General configuration in the Tableau Server Help for more information.
