Scheduled Refresh Update Columns Show “Unavailable” on Tableau Online

Issue

When you view a data source’s refresh schedule on Tableau Online, instead of a date and time of day, the Last Update and Next Update columns might show the value Unavailable.

Environment

  • Tableau Online
  • Tableau Online sync client
  • Refresh schedule 

Resolution

To see the last and next update status, do the following:

  1. Open the Tableau Online sync client from the Windows system tray on your computer.
  2. In the list of data sources, select the one for which you want to view the last or next update.

    The sync client displays the data source’s status and refresh times.

Additional Information

The ability for Tableau Online to display a date and time range that reflects refresh status for your local data sources is in development for a future release of the service.
