Issue

How to filter across data sources using multiple value selection.

Environment

Tableau Desktop

Resolution

As a workaround, create a set based filter.
  1. Add desired dimensions and measures to the view.
  2. Right-click the desired dimension for filtering.
  3. Select Create > Set.
  4. Select desired values to include in the set and click OK.
  5. Place the newly created set on the Filters shelf.
  6. Right-click the set on the Filters shelf, select Show Members in Set, and then click OK.
  7. Right click the set on the Filters shelf and select Show Filter.
  8. In the filter on the view, click the drop-down arrow and select one of the multiple values options.

Cause

Currently, it is only possible to select a single value of a parameter.
