Unable to Collapse a View on a Dashboard as Expected When no Data is in the View

Issue

A view on a Dashboard does not collapse as expected when action filters are used to filter all data from the view, even though the view is placed in a layout object (container) as is done for the "Sheet Selector" approach to creating dynamic dashboard elements.

Environment

Tableau Desktop

Resolution

Place a field on the Rows or Columns shelf of the view that is supposed to collapse when all the data is filtered from the view. An example of the issue and the solution are detailed into  the attached workbook Collapsing Detail View In Container.twbx.

Cause

If there are no fields on the Rows or Columns shelf for the view that is to "collapse" when all the data is filtered from the view, it will not collapse.

Additional Information

In the lower left-hand corner of the Tableau Desktop workspace - when ALL of the data is filtered from the view, if there are not any fields on the Rows/Columns shelves, it says:
0 marks      1 row by 1 column
But if there is a field on either the Rows or Columns shelf, it says:
0 marks
