2. Copy down the Tableau Desktop Product Key for future reference
3. Deactivate the Product Key
4. Activate the Product Key
5. Within Tableau Server:
a. Navigate to 'Tableau Desktop License Usage' Administrative View
b. Refresh the Administrative View
c. Confirm whether or not Licensing Reporting statistics are present
b. Refresh the Administrative View
c. Confirm whether or not Licensing Reporting statistics are present
* If statistics are present within the Administrative View, Tableau Desktop License Reporting statistics should accurately display every 8 hours after the Tableau Desktop's intial configuration
Cause
Tableau Desktop pushes license data every eight hours to the Tableau Server while running. If the time during which the Tableau Desktop client is configured and when the "Tableau Desktop License Usage' Administrative View is accessed is less than eight hours, no statistics for that client will be present and the view will be blank.Additional Information
