"Refresh Extracts..." Option Is Unavailable when Scheduling Refresh on Tableau Online

Issue

When trying to schedule a published extract to refresh on Tableau Online, the "Refresh Extracts" option under the "More Actions" menu might be unavailable. 

Environment

  • Tableau Online
  • Refresh Schedules

Resolution

Select Tableau Online under the Select where to run refreshes... option. 
  1. On the Data Sources screen, select the name of the data source name. 
  2. Select the Refresh Schedules tab. 
  3. On the far right side, select the Select where to run refreshes... button. 
  4. Select Tableau Online, and then Save
  5. Select New Extract Refresh to indicate a refresh schedule.
