Extract not Refreshing in Tableau Desktop

Issue

When trying to refresh a TDE in Tableau Desktop, it loads forever, or if you quit using the data,Tableau freezes. 

Environment

  • Tableau Desktop
  • Tableau Data Engine

Resolution

In order to resolve this issue request that a System Administrator add Tableau to the Anti-Virus exclusion list.

Cause

Tableau processes are blocked by the Anti-virus software.
