Error "Error with HTTP API, error code: Couldn't connect to server" Connecting to Splunk

Issue

When connecting to a Splunk data source, the following error might occur:

[Splunk][Splunk ODBC] (40) Error with HTTP API, error code: Couldn't connect to server
Unable to connect to the server "<server name>". Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database.

  • Tableau Desktop
  • Splunk

Resolution
