Error "Unable to create extract" Creating Extracts with Data Source Filters

In Tableau Desktop 8.2, when you try to create an extract with data source filters, the following error might occur:
An unexpected error occurred and the operation could not be completed.

Tableau Desktop 8.2.0 - 8.2.2
Upgrade to Tableau Desktop 8.2.3 or a later version. For more information, see Upgrading Tableau Desktop in the Tableau Knowledge Base.
Use one of the following workarounds:
When creating the extract, add the filters from the Filters > Add option rather than from the Extract > Edit option.
Create the extract without filters, and then add data source filters to the existing extract. To add data source filters to an existing extract, in the Data pane, right-click the extract name, select Extract Data, and then add filters in the Extract Data dialog box.
Create the extract in Tableau Desktop 8.1, and then connect to the extract from Tableau Desktop 8.2.
This behavior is a known issue that has been corrected in more recent releases.
