"Missing required context variable: username"
Environment
Tableau Desktop Public Edition
Google Sheets
Resolution
Option 1
Reconnect to the data source and replace the original data source with the new connection. For more information, see Replace Data Sources in Tableau Help.
Option 2
Open Tableau Public Desktop, go to File > Open from Tableau Public...
Enter your credentials.
Choose the workbook.
Then right-click the data source > Edit Data Source...
Cause
Tableau Public is behaving as designed. To protect the privacy of users, the email of the owner of the Google Sheet data source is removed. Therefore, the error occurs when you try to edit the data source.
