Dates in Date Range of Google Analytics Do Not Match

Issue

When viewing Google Analytics data in Tableau Desktop, data might not display up to the current day. Dates in the Google Analytics connection window do not match the selection.

Environment

  • Tableau Desktop 8.0
  • Tableau Desktop 8.1
  • Google Analytics

Resolution

Refresh the date range selection in the Google Analytics connection window.
  • Right-click on the affected Google Analytics connection.
  • Select Edit Connection.
  • Select a different option in the Date Range drop-down menu.
  • Re-select the previous, or desired, Date Range option.

Cause

Manually edited dates prevent the date range selection from updating automatically.
