Data Sources Are Missing from Tableau Bridge After Changing Authentication Type

Issue

When your Tableau Online administrator changes the site's authentication method (how you sign in to your site), Tableau Bridge data sources might not appear in the Bridge client, or you might get an error message that mentions a connection failure.

Environment

  • Tableau Online 
  • SAML
  • Tableau Bridge

Resolution

Sign in to Tableau Online from the Bridge client using the new authentication method, and then reconfigure the data sources.

Cause

The Bridge client is configured using the previous authentication method, which is no longer applicable.
