Data Missing From Salesforce Extract After Refresh

Issue

When refreshing a Salesforce extract in Tableau Desktop 9.3, all the data disappears.

Additionally, the following error can be found in the Tableau Desktop logs:
"INVALID_LOGIN: Invalid username, password, security token; or user locked out."

Environment

Tableau Desktop 9.3.0-9.3.2

Resolution

  1. Upgrade to Tableau Desktop 9.3.3 or later version. For more information, see Upgrading Tableau Desktop.
  2. After upgrading, perform a full refresh before attempting incremental refreshes.

Cause

This behavior is related to a known issue (ID: 504875) that has been fixed in a recent version of Tableau Desktop.
