EnvironmentTableau Server 10.0.0 - 10.0.2 and 10.1.0
Option 1:If a backup was taken manually before the upgrade, restore that backup with tabadmin restore.
Option 2:If no backup exists, but Tableau Server is installed on a virtual machine, and a snapshot of the VM exists:
- Take a backup of the existing state and save it to a disk on another computer.
- Restore the snapshot of the previous environment.
- Validate that Tableau Server content exists as expected.
- Take a manual backup.
- Upgrade to Tableau Server 10.0.3 or 10.1.1. For more information, see Upgrade Tableau Server.
Option 3:If no other backup exists and no snapshot exists, contact Tableau Technical Support.
CauseThis behavior is related to known issues 576908 and 582540 which have been corrected in more recent releases.
