Issue

When a heatmap with Column Divider set to "None" is published from Tableau Desktop to Tableau Server or Tableau Online, white column dividers may appear between random columns.

Environment

  • Tableau Server 10.3.1
  • Tableau Online
  • All browsers

Resolution

Option 1

As a Tableau Server Administrator, upgrade to Tableau Server 2018.1. For more information, see Upgrading Tableau Server in Tableau Help.

Option 2

As a workaround, force the Server-Side rendering by adding the ":render=false" URL parameter to the view experiencing the issue. For more information about this topic, see About Client-Side Rendering in Tableau Help.

Option 3

Filter out the header values of one of the Dimensions used in the Columns for the Heatmap.

Cause

This behavior is related to a known issue (ID: 692626) which has been fixed in a recent release of Tableau Server.
