- Google BigQuery
ResolutionUse the following workaround:
Upgrade to Tableau Desktop 10.1.4 or a newer version. For more information, see Upgrade Tableau Desktop.
Use the TDC file below. For more information on TDC files, see Make customizations global with a .tdc file.
<connection-customization class='bigquery' enabled='true' version='8.0' > <vendor name='bigquery' /> <driver name='bigquery' /> <customizations> <customization name='CAP_BIGQUERY_SKIP_PROJECT_VALIDATION' value='true' /> </customizations> </connection-customization>Note: Tableau does not test or support TDC files. These files should be used as a tool to explore or occasionally address issues with your data connection. Creating and maintaining TDC files requires careful manual editing, and there is no support for sharing these files.
CauseThis behavior is due to a known issue which is currently under investigation.
Additional InformationWhen using the TDC file, you may see Projects briefly listed in the drop down which disappear just before connection. These projects are not usable for queries, and would generally not be visible in Tableau Desktop.
